Welcome!

Hello, Krabat, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- JLaTondre (talk) 17:52, 1 May 2018 (EDT)

Kenneth Krabat

I accepted your author update, but had to make some changes to match our conventions. The biggest one is that I had to reject the image link. We can only use images from sites that have explicitly given us permission to do so. See ISFDB:Image linking permissions for a list of such sites. If you wish to upload an image you have the rights to, you may upload it to Image:Kenneth Krabat.jpg (being sure to tag it with one of the author image tags) and then edit the entry to link to that. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 17:52, 1 May 2018 (EDT)

Historiens korte arm

I had to reject your edits to Historiens korte arm. This entry is for the original Danish version. If you look at it, you will see the English version listed as a translation of it. Each language is a separate record in our database which the translations linked to each other (through variants). Also, the transliteration field is for converting non-Latin characters to Latin (transliteration). It is not a translation field. I did copy the synopsis your provided into the record. We do appreciate your submission. ISFDB has some conventions that need learning, but everything should be in the help links in the welcome message above. We hope you will continue to contribute. And please let us know if you have any questions (ISFDB:Help desk is a good resource for asking). -- JLaTondre (talk) 17:52, 1 May 2018 (EDT)

Sirius B

Regarding your note about Sirius B (submission). How much is Sirius B a revival (same editors and/or publisher) and how much it is a new magazine that uses the same name because it is available? If it is the latter, the magazines usually stay separate - otherwise, we can create double series (with the old and the new ones being sub-series). Are you planning to add the issues? Thanks! Rund um die Welt in mehr als 80 SF-Geschichten

I have put your submission for this publication on hold and am inclined to reject it, because there are many inconsistencies: 1) this is a book published in German according to the publisher's website, but you submitted other languages, 2) it's a trade paperback that is connected with the ISBN, not an ebook (the price would be too high for the second, I also couldn't find any trace of an ebook publication), 3) the author / editor is spelled differently in the sources (as is the publisher, which we already have in the database), 4) again, there's the problem with the image link.

We first include notes in English for original publications, because that's our working language. Stonecreek 03:12, 2 May 2018 (EDT)

With no answer, I have rejected your submission (I added the tp edition instead). Stonecreek 06:02, 7 May 2018 (EDT)
