Welcome!
Hello, Kaputnik77, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Help pages
- Field-by-field guide to entering new publications into the database
- Help:Getting Started
- What the ISFDB Wiki is for
- FAQ
- Wiki editing help - Tips on how to use the wiki-specific features when editing wiki pages.
- Wiki Conventions - How things are usually done on this wiki.
- Help:How to upload images to the ISFDB wiki
Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.
Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.
I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! MagicUnk 13:29, 8 June 2020 (EDT)
Framanti Alliance
Hello. I've accepted your submission of Framanti Alliance. Thank you for that! However, there are a couple of minor changes I made:
- Amazon links typically do not go into the title record. Rather, they are not recorded at all as the standard way of referencing data sources for information on the work would be on the publication (ie book) level. I've therefore removed the Amazon link from the title record.
- When linking to Amazon's cover, take note that there's sometimes formatting information embedded in the URL that should be removed. It looks like .../images/I/41U4m7a-crL._SX331_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg, which you should edit to .../images/I/41U4m7a-crL.jpg. I've corrected that for you.
- Publication date: can you clarify where you got the date from ? Both Amazon's LookInside and Amazon publication record show a publication date of (13) November 2019. It's always good practice to explain where you got the data from (if it's not in or on the book) and add data sources in the notes.
- Finally, I couldn't find any reference that confirms the author is also the cover artist. Amazon's LookInside feature doesn't provide it. If there's doubt, we err on the side of caution and only add notes to clarify that the author 'may' also be the cover artist. I've therefore (temporarily(?)) removed the cover art credits. If you could let me know what source you used to ascertain the author is also the cover artist, I could add that data source into the notes. (or you could by submitting an edit of the publication record).
Again, thank you for your contribution, and I hope you will consider helping out expanding and improving our database. If you would have questions, to not hesitate to post them over at the HelpDesk, or on my talk page. There are always helpful moderators around that are more than willing to explain.
