(The) Warlord of Mars

I'm holding your submission to add a new publication of this Burroughs title. A few questions: is the title on the book's title page (not the cover) Warlord of Mars or The Warlord of Mars? If the former, you've entered the publication under the wrong title record. Warlord of Mars is a variant title of The Warlord of Mars, and it was as Warlord of Mars that the 1973 and 1974 NEL printings are currently entered. Also, in your submission, you've spelled out "paperback" in the binding field. It should be entered as "pb" (look at Pub Format here for instructions on entering new books into the database.) Another thing, the ISBN is missing a number (450-03968-4). In the late sixties into the seventies many publishers were still experimenting on how to format the ISBN, until the ten-digit system became the standard (it is now a thirteen-digit number). Looking on the WorldCat website I was able to find this pub under 0-450-03968-4. If this isn't the way it's printed in the book, you can note that in the notes field, but place the complete ten digits into the ISBN field. Once we've determined the correct title, I'll approve the submission and then you can make any necessary adjustments to the record. Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 02:50, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Here's the new record. Use this link to get to the pub record. Then click "Edit This Pub" under the editing tools menu, make the changes we discussed and resubmit. Once everything matches the pub you have, you are encouraged to do a Primary Verification (from the pub record click on "Verify This Pub" then check the middle bullet on the Primary line). Thanks. Warlord of Mars

I've added notes to this publication including a note about a printed label in my copy stuck over the printed data on copyright page; the copyright changed from "Edgar Rice Burroughs 1947" (as printed on copyright page) with "1914 by Frank A. Munsey Company" --Mavmaramis 12:59, 18 January 2022 (EST)
