Welcome!

Hello, Jkl canada2000, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --MartyD 10:57, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

Strangers Among Us

Hi, and welcome. I accepted your addition of Strangers Among Us and made a few changes to have it conform to ISFDB standards and policies. They're minor -- you did a very nice job!

  • We don't record interviews/reviews of a book as contents within the book itself. If an interview or review occurs in a publication, we record it there, as contents of that publication, and the bibliography page for the interviewee or reviewed publication will show a link to it. We don't normally treat blogs or other websites as publications, so for this case I added a link to the interview in the anthology's title notes and removed it from the publication.
  • We also have a policy of not linking cover images to sites that have not given us permission to do so (see ISFDB:Image linking permissions if you're interested in the details). I found the book on Amazon, where we do have permission, and changed the record to point to that instead of the publisher's site.
  • I decided the "Laska Anthology Series: Speculative Fiction" is more of a publisher series than a title series (if another publisher published the anthology, they wouldn't use that series), so I moved that to the publication itself.

See what you think. Please correct anything that does not look right, and ask if you have any questions. Thanks, and thank you for contributing. --MartyD 11:27, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
