Welcome!

Hello, Jimwelchok, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 00:17, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Uses of the User page

There are several uses for the User page which is assigned to you when you become a registered editor here on the ISFDB: a brief description or bio of the user, their fields of knowledge and/or interest, plans for ISFDB projects, etc. Your current use in describing a story would better be placed in the synopsis field of the database's record for the published story. Though, I can't find a record of it in the ISFDB. Of course, if the story hasn't been published, it would not be in the database, and should not be described on your user page. You wouldn't want anyone to steal your ideas now, would you? Thanks. Mhhutchins 00:25, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
