Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

Problems with your latest set of submissions

I'm going to accept the submissions to add new publications to the database, but there are quite a number of problems which I will have to correct. Please keep this in mind when making future submissions. All of these changes are based on standards which can be found in this [ field-by-field guide] to creating publication records for the ISFDB. Please take some time to look over that page. Thanks.

  • Date field: This is the full date of publication. (You entered 2015 for some of these which were published in the past.) You should add the full date when you know it. If a work was published on July 4, 2015, it would be entered as "2015-07-04".
  • ISBN field: Please use the ISBN-13 when stated in the publication. All books published after January 2007 are required to have an ISBN-13.
  • Price field: Please use the publisher's list price, not the Amazon (or any other dealer) sale price. Also, you must enter the currency symbol. For US publications you have to enter "$" before the price.
  • Cover Image field: Please enter the URL of the image and not for the webpage on which it appears. Otherwise it will not display in the ISFDB record.
  • Synopsis field: Please limit these to 1000 characters. They don't have to be detailed. It shouldn't be more than a couple of sentences. They must be objective and without spoilers.

Borderland Anthology

Please remove the titles and descriptions of the stories from the synopsis field of the title record, and create content records for the story in the publication record. Click "Edit this pub" and then under the metadata section of the edit page click on the "Add Title" button. A set of field will open in which you will create content records for each of the stories in the publication. Mhhutchins|talk 22:45, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

Fractured Earth

A quick note to let you know that the title of this verified publication has been changed from Fractured to Fractured Earth. When you get a chance, could you please confirm that it matches your edition? I assume that it was a data entry error, but you never know :) TIA! Ahasuerus 15:59, 25 March 2019 (EDT)
