Welcome!

Hello, Grymmscape15, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

Your welcome additions ...

... needed a little adaption to meet the ISFDB standards. Please take a look at them, to see what's been changed. I'd like to mention two points, though: the images linked to sites that we don't have permission to link to, so they got to be dropped, alas. I also modified the synopsises, as they did contain some endorsement (they should be neutral in tone). Thanks for adding, Stonecreek 06:31, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

Webzines

The current Rules of Acquisition for the ISFDB excludes most web-based publications. Here is the stated policy:

Works published in a web-based publication (webzine) and available only as an HTML readable file are not eligible for inclusion with the following exceptions:
  • It is published by a market which makes the author eligible for SFWA membership (listed here).
  • It has been shortlisted for a major award. (This last may include works which are self-published by an author on their own website. Otherwise such works are not eligible.)

If you have any questions about a publication's eligibility please post a message on the ISFDB:Help desk.

You have the option to create a bibliographic comments page on the ISFDB wiki which links to the author's summary page in the database. On this page you can list all publications which are not eligible for the database. Click on the link labeled "Bibliographic Comments" on the author's database page.
