Remnants of the Damned

Hi, and welcome. I accepted your Abyssal Sanctuary: Remnants of the Damned submission and made a couple of small changes to it that I wanted you to be aware of:

  • I changed the publisher from Amazon Direct Publishing to Amazon Digital Services, which is the way Amazon presents the publisher. If this is actually self-published, we'd rather use "Gavin Hetherington" instead of the publishing platform.
  • I changed the format from "Kindle" to "ebook" and moved the information about its being Kindle to the notes.
  • I put the title into a new "Abyssal Sanctuary" series as #1 and removed the proposed publication series. The rule of thumb is: Title Series would be true no matter who published the work, whereas Publication Series would change from publisher to publisher. This one bites every new editor because Pub Series is right there on the New Novel screen, but there's no way to add title series information which is what is really wanted 99% of the time.
  • Most confusing of all: I left the publication's title as you provided it, Abyssal Sanctuary: Remnants of the Damned, but I changed the title record (essentially the canonical representation of the work) to be Remnants of the Damned, without the series designator. It works out better this way because not all publishers will include the series name in the title. This isn't something you could have done anything about at submission time; I just wanted you to be aware of it.
