Welcome!

Hello, FAHNENJOKER, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hauck 08:33, 8 March 2018 (EST)

Trust No One

Hello, I've approved your submissions. Instead of entering the contents for each version of the anthology, you should have waited for your first submission to have been approved, then cloned the whole lot (including contents). For the german translation, I've rejected your submission as it's better for you to start by entering the german publication (via "Add New Anthology"), then making the appropriate variants. Don't hesitate to ask if you need assistance. Hauck 08:44, 8 March 2018 (EST)

Werwolf

Hello, I've approved your submission but had to make some changes to conform to our standards:

  • deleted synopsis that should be in english.

The result is here. Thanks for contributing. Hauck 08:52, 8 March 2018 (EST)

Hi, and welcome! I saw that you verified this publication: the moment a primary verification is issued, notes like 'Data from amazon' should be changed or deleted, since now the verifyer becomes the source for the data. (Some notes like 'First/nth edition' and the source for the cover artist would be appreciated). Thanks, Stonecreek 23:21, 8 March 2018 (EST)

Shatterpoint

Hello, I've put your submission on hold. What is the precise source of your data? Note that the date should be set to "0000" as we do not use "approximate" dates. What's exactly stated on the physical book (e.g. a printing rank?). Hauck 05:43, 9 March 2018 (EST)

Hi, ok in that case we have to write "unknown", since I can't find any print number or anything on/in the book. FAHNENJOKER 06:15, 9 March 2018 (EST)
Does that mean that you own a copy of the book? Hauck 08:06, 9 March 2018 (EST)
Yes I do. FAHNENJOKER 08:14, 9 March 2018 (EST)
Good, so the first thing to do, in order to simplify the job of the moderator that will handle your submission and lessen the number of questions that will asked, is to Primary verify the publication. In this case, is there a printing line on your book (or a single number on copyright page)? Note also that a date of "0000" will translate as "date unknown" on display. Hauck 08:23, 9 March 2018 (EST)
Ah yes, there is a small "13" on the buttom left of the copyright page, right below "First Mass Market Edition: May 2004" FAHNENJOKER 08:28, 9 March 2018 (EST)
Great, I've approved your submission and made some changes. Hauck 08:49, 9 March 2018 (EST)
