Welcome!

Hello, Esperanto41, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

The Me Clone / La Mi-Klono

I have several questions and some comments about the publication of The Me Clone / La Mi-Klono that you entered into eh ISFDB.

  • For all ebooks, we put simply "ebook" into the "binding" (format) field, and record details of formats in notes. This makes it easier to search for ebooks, and avoids complications when there are many formats available for a single ebook. I have made the required change.
  • Since your HTML is, as far as I can see, unpagianted, where does the page count of 220 come from? If that is the page count of a printed version, it should be recoded only in an entry for the printed version.
  • The cover image. The ISFDB links only to sites where we have clear permission to do so. See ISFDB:Image linking permissions and Help:How to upload images to the ISFDB wiki. We will need a clear statement of permission from the webmaster or domain owner, or to replace the link with a link to a local copy. The 2nd course is usually preferable, as then the record does not depend on the stability of an external site.

You might want to look at Publisher:Project Gutenberg for some further information on how we have handled ebooks in the past.

Again, welcome. -DES Talk 05:08, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
