Welcome!
Hello, Eltiguere300, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Help pages
- Field-by-field guide to entering new publications into the database
- Help:Getting Started
- What the ISFDB Wiki is for
- FAQ
- Wiki editing help - Tips on how to use the wiki-specific features when editing wiki pages.
- Wiki Conventions - How things are usually done on this wiki.
- Help:How to upload images to the ISFDB wiki
Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.
Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.
I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Stonecreek 03:11, 10 January 2020 (EST)
Uploading images
Hi! I deleted the image you just uploaded, since there wasn't a corresponding publication. For practical reasons, cover images should only be uploaded via the semi-automated procedure you'll find under the link 'How to upload images to the ISFDB wiki' shown above. But the first step will be to enter the publication in question (and please take first a time to study the help pages on that, and/or take a deep look into other similar publications). Thanks, Stonecreek 03:20, 10 January 2020 (EST)
- I had to put your submission on hold: there are several problems that need to be adressed. The first and foremost is the statement for several authors; the cover states only Emil Cerda Demorizi. Now, the title page may state more or different authors: as this page is our source for author credits, please state here which author(s) are credited on the title page and how he is/they are spelled. Thanks, Stonecreek 04:21, 10 January 2020 (EST)
Hi, i'm new in this place, i don't know much about that, but i try collaborate. The book is by the writer Emil Cerda, also known as Emil Cerda Demorizi, and also writes under the pseudonyms Comillas and Billy Bob Morrison Scott Billy, that's why I put Emil Cerda Demorizi and her pseudonyms. He is known by all those names. But most of his writings have been written with the name Emil Cerda, although there are some with Comillas or Billy Bob Morrison Scott Billy.
- Thanks for the information! We don't put all of the names into an author field, only one! That has to be the one stated on the title page of a publication. Examples: Here the author is stated on the title page as Liu Cixin (different from the cover), here the author is stated on the title page as Cixin Liu (the same as on the cover). We do need the exact spelling of the author's name on the title page (if you click on 'Cixin Liu' you may note that he is published under several alternate names). The title page is usually the first interior page on which both the author and the publisher are stated - it is not the front cover.
- I have noticed Mr. Stonecreek that when they upload a photo, they put many labels and square brackets, I really did not know how to upload a photo, I uploaded the photo and then put it in the New Novel apart as you had mentioned. Eltiguere300 07:53, 10 January 2020 (EST)Eltiguere300
- The thing is that we need the additional information including the labels and square brackets (like here). This is for legal reasons. But their addition is supported by the semi-automated procedure that I mentioned above. Thanks, Christian Stonecreek 08:44, 10 January 2020 (EST)
- I'm bound to reject your submission (which still is on hold) if you don't give us some information on the stated author spelling. I'll wait for two more days. Stonecreek 11:50, 14 January 2020 (EST)

Adding a synopsis
I am sorry to inform you that I rejected your addition of a synopsis. I'm afraid that we are a database founded in the English language. Thus we only accept texts like these (and also notes for publications, authors, etc.) in English, at least for parent titles. Stonecreek 09:00, 10 January 2020 (EST)
