Goblin Market by Bradley

What is the source of the information that this story is part of the Thieves' World series? My research has been unable to find a connection. Do you have a copy of the story and can attest that there is interior evidence that it is part of the series? Thanks. Mhhutchins 21:38, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

I have read the story in Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine #44 (Summer 1999) issue. It features Lythande, making it as much a "Thieves' World" story as all the rest of the Lythande stories that were published after "The Secret of the Blue Star." Daddy Todd 02:56, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

That date came out of some record keeping I did. It's nowhere in the magazine itself; I derived it. I should have left it out.Daddy Todd 21:38, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Drums of Darkness

The submission adding a new pub to this title was accepted, with a few changes. The pub format field was changed to "tp" indicating a trade paperback, and a note was added concerning it being a large print edition. For more information on the standards for each of the data fields when entering new pubs or updating current records go to this help page. Lythande

Is it possible that this series is a subseries of Thieves' World, or is it an entirely different world? Thanks. Mhhutchins 21:47, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

I've posted below the instructions to respond to Wiki posts. Do you know if there are any other Thieves' World stories, other than the McIntyre story, which also include the character Lythande? If so, they should be removed from the Thieves' World series and placed in this new one. Because ISFDB software prohibits a story from being in two different series, it would seem that the character trumps the setting, especially in this case. Thanks. The Complete Lythande

I've accepted the submission adding this record, but have made the following changes based on ISFDB standards. Those standards can be found in the help pages which are linked in the Welcome section above.

  • Publication date field was changed to 2013-11-05, indicating November 5, 2013 as stated on the copyright page according to the Amazon Look Inside. The dates of the new contents were also changed to this date.
  • The page count field should include the Roman-numbered pages. The Look Inside doesn't give that number so please update the record to include it, e.g. "iv+249".
  • Data in the Publication Series field was removed. "Lythande" is a title series, not a publication series (the difference is explained here. I will place the book's title record into the title series.
  • Title field of the generic titles were disambiguated, e.g. "Introduction" was changed to "Introduction (The Complete Lythande)".
  • Unless the work is actually credited to "Anonymous", any uncredited work should be credited as "uncredited". I've made that change in the two content records previously credited to "Anonymous", and the Introduction has been credited to Michael Spence based on the copyright page statement.

I've also added the current list price as shown on Amazon. This is the standard even if the work is POD. I will give the source in the Note field since I'm assuming the book itself isn't priced.
