Adding magazine issues
In this edit you wrote "needs issues added, can't figure out how to add to database".
To enter a new magazine, click the "Add New Magazine" link from the ISFDB's home page, or ant author or publication page. Then enter the publication data (metadata) and contents, and click "Submit Data". Details on exatly what to enter and how to format it can be found at Help:Screen:NewPub. However, on looking more closely, it appears that Strange Horizons is a webzine. Currently, our Rules of Acquisition say:
Out - Web only publications such as webzines. The problem for us is that they are not durable; anything we index could change, be reorganized, edited, updated with new versions or revisions, and so on. In addition, the URLs are not likely to be durable. So for now web only publications are not accepted into the ISFDB.
We do make exceptions for a couple of webzines on a case-by-case basis (two webzines that have received Hugo nominations, and a third that is an SWFA qualifying professional market), but otherwise, web-only pubs are not currently indexed. If you think that Strange Horizons should be another exception, post your reasons at the Community Portal. -DES Talk 05:12, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
