The Lone Ranger Chronicles

I remember watching The Lone Ranger on TV as a kid, but can't recall anything Spec-Fic/Fantasy/Horror/Supernatural about the stories [other than being able to shoot ten times with a six-shooter without reloading]. From what I can find these stories are Westerns, and as such are outside the parameters of this DB. Am I missing something? I have the submission on hold. --~ Bill, Bluesman 15:17, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi Bill,

I understand what you are saying, and it's a good point, but I do believe one or two of the stories in the anthology have minor supernatural elements. I also note that in the database there are some Zorro stories, for example, and I would put the Lone Ranger under a similar umbrella of characters who are almost minor super heroes and that you wouldn't be surprised to see people dressed up as at a spec fic convention. Also, Moonstone as an imprint definitely publishes a great deal of spec fic. Given all those factors, do you think that an entry might be warranted? If not, I'm certainly happy to defer to your judgement. :-) --Camaris 05:59, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Each publication needs to be assessed on its' own merit. Subterranean publishes nearly 100% spec-fic but does a couple of mysteries as well, and those would be excluded. In this case if there are stories with a supernatural element, then they would be in but the rest would be out. We have tons of records for Argosy magazine [a men's adventure mag], but only to note the spec-fic content [usually one story per issue]. Have no idea what Zorro would be doing on here. My suggestion would be to see if you can determine which story[ies] have such elements and re-submit the book. Cheers! --~ Bill, Bluesman 22:02, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
