Welcome!

Hello, Basans, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --~ Bill, Bluesman 23:50, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

From the Flames

Some questions about your submission. But first, a couple of notes: only one binding can go in the field per record, not two. Any image links can only be to sites that the ISFDB has explicit permission to link to. This can be side-stepped by downloading an image to your computer and using the "Upload Image" link [which appears once a record has been established]. For a list of the sites we currently have permission from, scroll down [this] Help page. The questions arise because of the two bindings being placed in the one record [a second record can be created for the second binding]: which does the price belong to, ebook or the trade paperback [shortform is 'tp']? I would assume the price is for the POD as there is a page count [for an ebook enter the page count as '0']. Same thing with the ISBN. Most often the ebook will have its own, though not always. I can accept and fix the submission with the correct information. Again, welcome, and thanks for editing! --~ Bill, Bluesman 00:01, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

To respond, just click on the [edit] button to the right, indenting by using two colons [creates 'steps' to make the thread read easier] and sign using the second-last tab above the edit window. --~ Bill, Bluesman 00:01, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Age of the Damned

I'm accepting your submission, but I'll have to make one change: Under the ISBN field, you entered Amazon's "ASIN" number, which isn't a universal number (e.g. it's not what Barnes & Noble would use). Checking the "Look inside" feature on Amazon, I see that there is an actual ISBN for your ebook so I'll put that into that field. As an aside, I'll mention that as someone quickly approaching 65, I'm concerned about how the book turns out :-) Chavey 04:09, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
