Rise of the Imperial Guardians Vol 1

Submission adding this publication was added to the database, but some changes were made for it to comply with ISFDB standards. (The help pages that explain those standards are linked in the Welcome section above.)

  • The synopsis was moved to the title record from the publication's Note field. That field should be used for notes about the book and not about the work.
  • Publication date was changed based on the Amazon listing.
  • Price was added based on the Amazon listing.
  • Binding format was added ("tp" for trade paperback) based on the Amazon listing.
  • The Chinese message added to the Note field was removed. Although non-English language speculative fiction publications are eligible for the database, all data about the book should be in English.
  • SERIAL typed contents were removed. That type is used only for the serialization of novels in periodicals. Also, it's not likely that a collection titled Rise of the Imperial Guardians Vol 1 would contain a serial titled "Rise of the Imperial Guardians Vol 2".

You will need to make the following changes in the record:

  • The title of the work should be the same as given on the publication's title page, which appears to be in Chinese, according to the Amazon "Look Inside". So the title must also be in Chinese, using the Chinese alphabet. You will have to change the title field of the publication record and the work's title record.
  • Since you typed the book as a COLLECTION, I assume it contains several works of SHORTFICTION. Those works will have to be added when updating the publication record in the Contents section.
  • Do a primary verification of the record in case another user has further questions about the publication. There is a link in the Welcome section about verifying a publication record.

According to the Amazon listing, this is a NOVEL and not a COLLECTION. I've made changes to the record. Also, I've found an earlier edition published in January and created a record for it. Mhhutchins 16:58, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
