Welcome!

Hello, Agt, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 22:42, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

Publisher credit for When Worlds Collide

Can you confirm that the publisher of this book is given as "Triangle Books / Blue Ribbon Books" on its title page? This is usually the format used in ISFDB records for books from an imprint with a designated published, e.g. "Del Rey / Ballantine". Thanks for looking. Mhhutchins 22:44, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

The spine imprint and title page refer only to "Triangle Books"; the copyright page, "Triangle Book Editions are published and distributed by Blue Ribbon Books, Inc., 14 West 49th Street, New York". (That address matches Doubleday's, so this must have been just after their 1939 acquisition of Blue Ribbon). What's the best way to represent this information? Thanks- Agt 01:13, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

Williamson's The Cometeers

The Sleeping Dragon

Hello, I've approved your submission, result is here. As you own the book, please precise its binding (likely a pb) and add info about printing rank (perhaps a number line) that may help other contributors. Thanks. Hauck 20:38, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

The Wind's Twelve Quarters

Hello, I've put your submission on hold as the price indicated seems incoherent with the date. Can you be more precise (the Bantam's date are hard to ascertain as the publisher usually only gives the first publication date). What's the number line on your book? Hauck 20:44, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi there, thanks for the catch. The number line on this book shows it's 14th printing, rather than "5th printing" as stated under Printing History. The ISBN above number line (0553201328) is consistent with the 5th printing, ISFDB pub_id 103301. Agt 22:34, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
Also- I forgot to include cover image, which matches pub_id 101171 . I'll try to remember to edit this later, but if you can make the change I'd appreciate it. Thanks! Agt 22:37, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
Done , result is here. I've set the date to "0000-00-00".Hauck 05:40, 7 May 2016 (UTC)

The Samarkand Solution

Hello, I've put your submission on hold. Can you clear with the PV of this quite close publication to see if you're not having the same book. The number line may be a valuable addition to the data entered. Hauck 20:49, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
