Bio:Michael James Makled

Please take a look at What the ISFDB Wiki is for, where it says, in part: "The ISFDB Wiki is not a place to record author biographies. It's harmless to add biographical information to these pages, but it may be deleted by editors who work on the bibliographies of those authors. Wikipedia is an excellent place for biographies of sf authors, and the ISFDB has a facility for adding a link to the Wikipedia article for each author."

Note also that if we were still collecting author biographies, we would probably prefer ones that focused more on an author's adult life, particularly on his or her writing life.

Thank you for your desire to help the ISFDB, and we look forward to your contributions in future. -DES Talk 20:31, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

I see that you have recreated Bio:Michael James Makled after it was blanked. It is also now clear that the author in question is still a grade-school student. None the less, author biographies should generally be proferssional in tone, and at least potentially verifiable. They should not contain book blurbs, recount the plots of books, nor confuse the fictioanl events of the author's books with the actual events of the author's life. They should also not contain puffery or promotional content.
I have therefore edited the biographical article back to the basics, removing the passages about "High IQ" and the like, and also removing sections copied from the book blurb. -DES Talk 14:52, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
