Welcome!

Hello, APHowell, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!.--Dirk P Broer 21:17, 22 March 2020 (EDT)

Community of Magic Pens

In this submission, your synopsis implies that not all the stories are speculative fiction. If this is a mixed genre anthology, than only the speculative fiction contents should be listed. Can you please confirm whether all the contents are eligible? Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 19:11, 26 August 2020 (EDT)

I have gone ahead a approved the edit. I did have to make some changes:
  • Author Names: There should be spaces after periods in author name.
  • Interior Art: If the interior art is unnamed, it gets the name of the publication.
  • ASIN: When an ASIN is the same as the ISBN10, we don't add it to the external IDs.
Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 18:48, 6 October 2020 (EDT)

Apologies for my intermittent presence/editing. I appreciate the changes! APHowell 11:58, 9 February 2021 (EST)

B&B

I added cover image from Open Library to Bicycles & Broomsticks. --Username (talk) 11:40, 22 January 2023 (EST)

Thanks, but it looks like Open Library (and Amazon, and everybody but Microcosm) are still using the originally commissioned cover, not the one that went to print. --APHowell (talk) 20:07, 23 January 2023 (EST)
Luckily it wasn't approved yet so I cancelled it. You say only the publisher (that's another issue I noticed while entering info for Biketopia, Microcosm on title page but Elly Blue as publisher on ISFDB, if they're an imprint it really should be Microcosm / Elly Blue according to our rules) has the right cover? If you know how it would be cool if you could upload it; https://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?930348. --Username (talk) 23:28, 23 January 2023 (EST)
