My name in the possible world is Amy Lavender Harris. I am a geographer and environmental philosopher and part-time faculty member in the Department of Geography at York University in Toronto, Canada. My current research, the Imagining Toronto project, explores intersections of literature and place in the Toronto region.

I think the isfdb is a wonderful thing. Although I do not read scifi, fantasy, or speculative fiction generally, I have begun researching local speculative fiction for a book I am writing on Toronto literature. My interests stretch far beyond settings: I am fascinated by the ways novels, poems, and other creative works narrate our hopes, dreams, memories, and interactions with each other and our varied environments.
