Two volumes did not have a series number reported on Amazon. They are placed in the list above based on the publication date and gaps in the series numbering. Christmas on the Prairie has been Transient verified. This publication has no evidence that the publisher numbered the books but is also one of the two books that Amazon did not number. In this publication the full series is listed on page 2 and the back cover. In both cases the books are listed in alphabetical order from Adoniram to The Wise Soldier of Sellebak.

The suffix "and Other Selections by Newbery Authors" has been omitted from each of the titles in the list above. The publications state the full title such as Christmas on the Prairie and Other Selections by Newbery Authors. The first part of the title is in a much larger font than the suffix.
