Known problems with the February 1941 issues

• The editor is uncredited, which was the rule at Strange Stories. Mort Weisinger is the editor who supposedly worked on most issues according to Tuck, but Clute/Nicholls suggest that Leo Margulies may have been the editor in some cases. Consequently, we can't be sure either who the editor was or who wrote The Black Arts, an essay signed by Lucifer. Ahasuerus 00:12, 23 Dec 2006 (CST)

• Will Garth was a house name used by Edmond Hamilton and others and we don't know who was responsible for this particular story, Hate's Handiwork. Ahasuerus 00:12, 23 Dec 2006 (CST)

• The cover artist is uncredited. Bergey did most of the art for this magazine according to Tuck, but we can't be sure. Ahasuerus 00:14, 23 Dec 2006 (CST)

• Some Day I'll Kill You! by Seabury Quinn is listed as Some Day I'll Kill You (no exclamation point) in the table of contents. Ahasuerus 00:39, 23 Dec 2006 (CST)

• The Band of Death by Eli Colter is advertised as a "complete novelet" on the cover and in the table of contents. It may be actually a short story, but it's hard to tell without counting words due to the presence of interior art and the confused ordering of text within the magazine ("continued on page NN", etc). The rest of the fiction pieces are clearly short stories even though some are advertised as "novelets". Ahasuerus 00:39, 23 Dec 2006 (CST)
