Here are some details of how the SFBC edition of Dark as Day differs from the original Tor hardcover:

The printing on the cloth spine is notably different. The Tor hardcover places the title in a box and uses the same typeface as the title page of the book. All the text, and the Tor logo, are larger than in the SFBC edition. In the SFBC edition, the text on the spine is small and somewhat generic.

The front and spine of the dust wrapper are virtually identical.

The inside front flap of the Tor DW includes the ISBN and cover price. These do not appear on the inside front flap of the SFBC edition.

The inside rear flap of the Tor DW ends with 8 lines of text giving contact info for the publisher and ending with "PRINTED IN THE USA". These lines of text are omitted from the SFBC DW.

The barcode on the rear DW of the Tor is split into two sections; the second includes pricing info ("52795>"). The barcode on the rear of the SFBC is smaller, has a single section, and only includes the ISBN (which matches the Tor ISBN). The SFBC edition adds a separate, small white rectangle with the text "50970" (presumably the SFBC catalog number).

The copyright page of the SFBC includes less information than the copyright page of the Tor edition. One missing line: "This book is printed on acid-free paper." My SFBC copy seems to be yellowing.

Otherwise, the two editions are very similar.
