Help:Screen:IgnoreCleanupRecords
There are 2 types of ISFDB cleanup reports.
Cleanup reports of the first type find and display records which are guaranteed to be in error. For example, the cleanup report Authors with Invalid Directory Entries finds directory entries which contain non-English characters. Since directory entries with non-English characters are currently not displayed by the ISFDB Author Directory, all non-English characters must be replaced with their English equivalents in author directory fields.
Cleanup reports of the second type find and display records which may or may not be in error. For example, the cleanup report Suspected Duplicate Authors finds similar author names like "Aaron Rosenbeig" vs. "Aaron Rosenberg". "Rosenbeig" may or may not be a data entry error, something that a human editor would need to determine. If an editor determines that "Rosenbeig" is indeed printed that way in the book, he or she should "ignore" the record pair in this report.
Note that only moderators can "ignore" false positives at this time. If a non-moderator finds a false positive, he or she should report it on the Moderator Noticeboard and a moderator will ignore it.
