According to page 165 of Jane Frank's "Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists of the Twentieth Century: A Biographical Dictionary", the signature "Roger" on the cover of Vargo Statten's The Time Trap refers to Roger Davis. Frank, Mike Ashley and Robert Weinberg all suggest that John Richards was the same person as Roger Davis.

Franks credits a number of "Authentic Magazine" covers to John Richards as the art director, but ISFDB has the art credited to Davis. On page 394 Franks suggests that the Richards name was used to conceal the fact that Davis had both jobs. Thanks, Harry. --Dragoondelight 20:07, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
