Randall S. Ellis was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1951. He is an avid reader of books.

He is a graduate of Westminster College with a B.A. in history and English literature. He then studied history for 2 years as a graduate student at the University of Utah.

He presently works as first-grade teacher at an elementary school in Price, Utah.
