Some sources, including Wikipedia as of 2013-05-12, list L. J. Smith's birth date as 1965-09-04. However, the Vampire Diaries Wiki says that "Smith is secretive about her age, but multiple sources list her birthdate as September 4, 1958". All sources seem to agree that she was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ahasuerus 02:43, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
