The essay written by John P. Roberts credits him as being from "Montclair (N.J.) State College". Online copies of the Montclair catalogs show him as being an Associate Professor of English there, as early as 1964, but give almost no other information about him. He is probably not the Baltimore fan John P. Roberts (1931-2008) who was a regular attendee of Balticon and leader of the Games Club of Maryland, Westminster Branch.
