Apparently the 'exotic' birthplace was a hoax, according to Robert Reginald, see here, citing the Washington Birth Index and the California Death Index.
Stellar #5 gives place of birth as Guatemala, contradicting Wikipedia. BLongley 20:02, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
