There is a death announcement in Locus #428 (September 1996) that Javor died in 1992. He wrote a letter in the following issue insisting that he wasn't. The erroneous information was taken from the CD-ROM Death Index by Jeffery S. Fisher. Locus had been referring to the CD-ROM for missed deaths for a couple of months when this incident among others convinced them not to use the unreliable source (see "Editorial Matters", Locus #429 October 1996).
