Daria Patrie lives in Winnipeg where she works at her job in technical support to pay for her writing addiction. She writes about unknown truths, science fiction, the juxtaposition of beauty and horror, artificial intelligence, murderous children, nonnormative gender transhumanism, and the mad woman in the attic. Her story “A Winter’s Tale” is included in the collection The Shadow Over Portage and Main (Great Plains), an anthology of weird fiction which uses Winnipeg as both setting and inspiration. She has a creative MA in English from the University of Manitoba and frequently murders her cat in fiction. - Thin Air Festival bio, September 2016
