Biography:
Cynthia D. Witherspoon is an award winning writer of Southern Gothic, Paranormal Romance, and Urban Fantasy. She currently resides in South Carolina, but spent three years in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Always an avid reader, she began writing short stories in college. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History from Converse College, and earned a Masters in Forensic Science at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences.
Witherspoon's focus on the paranormal stems from her fascination with all things supernatural or otherwise misunderstood. Ghosts, witches, moments in history - these are the inspirations for her stories. Her favorite writers are Stephen King, Margaret George, Philippa Gregory (just to name a few).
Cynthia Gael:
In November 2009, Witherspoon teamed up with award winning writer K.G. McAbee to co-write as Cynthia Gael. During their time writing together, the two of them have published two books in The Balefire Chronicles and have completed the third. Originally published through Gypsy Shadow Publishing, these books were pulled by the authors for undisclosed reasons in March 2011.
In Fall of 2011, their newest steampunk series will be released through Carina Press. This series, entitled The Brass Chronicles will play upon the Balefire Universe. The first installment is entitled Brass and Bone.
The publishing credits co-written with K.G. Mcabee will be listed below.

Some tragedies are best left forgotten. Eva McRayne did not believe in the paranormal. So when she was offered a television show to debunk her friend Elliot's ghost findings, Eva couldn't say no. But an encounter with a desperate Sibyl willing to do anything to set herself free changes Eva forever.
The Fanatic:
We will not be forgotten. Allison Thomason had it all. Fame. Fans. A television show she loved like no other. Until Eva McRayne came along to push her out of the job she was born to do and into obscurity. Determined to see her downfall avenged, Allison calls upon an ancient evil to help her destroy her enemy who understands all too well how easy it is to be pushed aside.
The Seer:
Eva McRayne has seen a lot during her time as the Sibyl. She has talked to the dead. She has fought mythological creatures.
