• Born at home in Northfield, Edinburgh on the 29th January 1959; an author, musician and songwriter.
• Attended Portobello High school, Edinburgh and subsequently Manchester University graduating in Social Anthropology. Became a teacher of Philosophy and Sociology before continuing his musical career. Now lives in Germany with two of his four children.
