My name is Charlene Lassig and I am the author of “The Scroll of Deuel,” and “The Brook of Tears.” I reside in southeastern Wisconsin with my family. The Village of Silver Lake, Wisconsin has become the setting for my novels and the home of my characters, Raina and Josiah. Scully's Silver Lake Grill in Silver Lake, WI has created several meals named in honor of "The Scroll of Deuel."

I am Excited about the release of “The Scroll of Deuel,” edited by Sonya Bateman-Flamingnet Award Winner, and author of "Master of None," and “Master and Apprentice,” and “The Brook of Tears,” edited by Professor Judy Mobile, with medical advisor Dr. James Toniolo, and graphic designer J.K. Fraser. Both books are published through Virtualbookworm Publishing Company.

I am currently working on my newest novel, “Cogswell Crossing.” This is a heartwarming young adult novel, which also takes place in Silver Lake, Wisconsin. The trilogy to “The Scroll of Deuel” series, “The Pariah’s Last Song,” is underway. A few of my favorite books and authors are “24: Declassified, series” by Marc Cerasini ,John Whitman, and David Jacobs. The “Jason Bourne,” series by Robert Ludlum. “The Love Comes Softly,” series by Janette Oke. “The Outsiders,” series by S.E. Hinton. The “Twilight,” series by Stephanie Meyer and inspirational writer, Max Lucado.

Among other hobbies and interest, I enjoy scrapbooking, ceramics, and photography. I support the ASPCA, and volunteer at Safe Harbor Humane Society, in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
