The absence of any biographical elements and the fact that “Jean Redon” only produced a single book have suggested that this is in fact a pseudonym of prolific French writer Frédéric Dard, hiding under the name of film-maker Jean Redon. See the corresponding page of French Wikipédia. This was refuted by Frédéric Dard himself, which does not mean it is untrue.
