“Jean Frollo” was, at the end of the 19th century, the collective pseudonym of a number of journalists and authors working for the French newspaper Le Petit Parisien, used for writing editorials, leading articles, etc. The first one to make use of it was Catulle Mendès (1841-1909), later joined by Jean Vignaud (1875-1962), Charles-Ange Laisant (1841-1920), and a few others.
