Seems we have an author dead in 1861 publishing a story (fortunately nothing more so far) containing the "2.0" buzz-number in recent F&SF. What to do? I guess that rather than add a parenthetical explanation to one canonical name, it might be better to make the Atterley name canonical; however SFE notes that 20th century publications were "as by George Tucker", so that wouldn't really help much... --JVjr 13:37, 8 Mar 2007 (CST)

Yup, A Voyage to the Moon has been reprinted at least twice as by "George Tucker" -- see this Title's Publication history as amended. I have added his other SF novel, A century hence: or, A romance of 1941, which remained unpublished for 136 years and appeared in 1977 under his real name. He was also a prominent politician and scholar when he was not writing SF, so we probably don't want to mess with his name. Instead we could try to add "(b. 19..)" to the new guy's name once we find out when he was born. Ahasuerus 22:17, 8 Mar 2007 (CST)
I added another story by the active George Tucker, so I renamed him George Tucker (active 21 c.). Perhaps too cryptic but it was the best I could think of. Both stories by the same person, as per editor's note. No date of birth in the note. --Roglo 20:38, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
