The "Catalog of Copyright Entries. Third Series: 1949" lists this book as by Emery Balint and as by Imre Bélint. The Catalog of Copyright Entries. New Series: 1927, Part 1 makes the same connection for the 1927 book "Alpha", originally published in Hungarian. "Emery" is a common Americanization of the Hungarian name "Imre". Peschke's International Encyclopedia of Pseudonyms lists this author with a birth date of 1892. It seems likely that this person is the Hungarian author described in some detail in the autobiography "American Commissar" by Sandor Voros. Emery Balint is first seen in chapter 20.
