Charles Midwinter was born in Canada but moved to the United States (Minnesota) early in his life. He went to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities where he studied physics and obtained a bachelor's degree and a master's in education. He is currently (2007) teaching high school physics while pursuing his dream of becoming a science fiction author.
