This is very possibly the "Constance Elnith Bevan" (born 1895 in London) as listed in Alston Family Genealogies. Reviews of books by C. Elnith Bevan occur in London publications (Punch, London Charivari, The Bookman), which is consistent. Several of these reviews are from 1922, referring to the author as "Miss Elnith Bevan", and Constance was married in 1918 to Geoffrey Barham Sankey. So either she was using a maiden name, and reviewers did not know her to be married, or else this is the wrong identification.
