Date of publication from Amazon.com. Sold as a print-on-demand book. The Delany and Schweitzer essays are original to this book. The Sturgeon essay was the introduction to ''Four for Tomorrow'' (1967). The features "A Word from Delany" and "Notes" for each story were reprinted from the first three volumes of ''The Collected Stories of Roger Zelazny'' (2009). The wraparound cover painting by Eggleton illustrates "This Moment of the Storm." The top caption of the left side pages is "The Magic," and the top caption of the right side pages is "Roger Zelazny and Samuel R. Delany." Trade paperback ISBN: 978-1-5154-3975-2. "The Ides of Octember" was originally published as "He Who Shapes" in ''Amazing Stories'' (January 1965).
