Synopsis: "Stephen is invited by letter to visit his disreputable uncle who used to be a ship's chandler in Stepney but was attacked and beaten and, when the attacker was gaoled, moved to a remote cottage in the Lake District. Thence Stephen goes to discover the pirate has been released form gaol, gathered his crew and is besieging the uncle." (Books & Boots)
