In review of the 2013 US edition Battle of Kings (Fantasy; Historical Fantasy), Kirkus mentions demons and gods, healers and sorcerers. It concludes that the story "will appeal to those who thrill to Game of Thrones and other tales of intersecting, ever-warring, noble lineages." (2022)
