Synopsis: The Aeiram are primates (related to Humankind and the Tarsier) who rose to a high technological culture in the Oligocene. They became temporonauts, moving forward through time to study evolution. Human temporonaut Elemer gradually introduces London journalists Alan and Melanie to the truth, and they join the Aeiram. The novel includes three historical chapters, set in Tudor times, ancient Egypt and the Gravettian era.
