- 65 drawings by Frost Engraved by Dalziel (Dalziel Brothers, The Brothers Dalziel) --from nearly legible signature "Dalziel&c"(?) Also signed legibly "A.B.F." or "A B Frost", punctuated variously.
- The 1883 collection (1st ed., apparent 1st printing, viewed at HathiTrust) states: • "With sixty-five illustrations by Arthur B. Frost and nine by Henry Holiday" --title page • "[Other poems] have all appeared before, as have also the illustrations to The Hunting of the Snark." --untitled note, p.[ix] Examination shows that the 9 credited illustrations by Holiday are all and only the previous published illustrations of The Hunting.
