Synopsis: The original female Dracula and an underground gothic cult re-enact her ritualized killings in present day London. Based on the life of the Hungarian Countess, Elizabeth Bathory (1560-1614), who was accused of torturing and killing hundreds of girls. The legend is that "she bathed in the blood of virgins to retain her youth", although that story appears to have been invented well after her death (but held true in this novel).
