Note: Probably, not certainly, a translation of the text published by Hodder & Stoughton in 1914, the 8th annual in its series of Christmas gift books illustrated by Edmund Dulac, which credits only Dulac.   The 1907 and 1913 Dulac-illustrated Christmas books also feature tales from the Arabian Nights, and both credit the writer Laurence Housman as well as Dulac.   Piazza published French-language editions of most if not all of the first seven Dulac books, sometimes within a year, as for the 1913 book in 1914 (Le Princesse Badourah). Probably this one was delayed by the 1914 to 1918 war.   At least once, for the 1907 Stories from the Arabian Nights, Piazza published an edition whose text is a French translation from Arabic, rather than from the English version arranged by Hodder & Stoughton ("retold by Laurence Housman").
