    • Story ends on p. 35, about 15 pages of text with many full-color illustrations.
    • Page 36 is a "slottie toy", where it is suggested that you cut out 20 pieces from a template and put them together using the various slots so as to build a model of Kay and Gerda riding a snow sled. The pieces are numerous and small, and cutting them out would destroy the last page of the story, so most copies of the book still have this puzzle untouched.
