    • Illustrated limitation page appearing on the last page before the back loose endpaper bears the statement "The edition is limited to 300 signed and numbered copies. This is copy number" below which the number of the copy is printed (not handwritten) in a much larger font. This is followed by the signatures of Harlan Ellison (the introducer), John Pelan (the editor and author of the afterword), and Jacob McMurray (the cover artist/designer).
    • "November 2014" stated on the copyright page, but publication was delayed and copies weren't shipped until mid-January 2015. Source: Primary Verifier 1. Amazon gives the publication date as March 17, 2015 as of 2015-01-17, but was selling copies on that date.
    • The price is not stated in the book. Copies from the publisher came shrink-wrapped with a sticker on the back printing the barcoded ISBN and the price of $100.00. There was also a sticker printing the number of the copy. Copies sold in Canada have a publisher's sticker over the barcode price with $137.95 but sold for $69.30
    • "The Collected Short Fiction" (over) "Volume 2" (over) "Introduction by Harlan Ellison ®" (over) "Edited, with an afterword, by John Pelan" on the title page.
    • "Cover artwork and design © 2014 by Jacob McMurray" stated on the copyright page and "Cover by Jacob McMurray" printed on the back flap of the dustjacket.
    • A full-page photograph of the author appears on page [6] facing the introduction's title page.
    • The double-spread title page, the contents page, the introduction, and the afterword are printed on differently colored pages.
    • There is a place-keeping ribbon (red satin) bound into the book. The book is fully clothbound.
    • Copies purchased directly from the publisher were priced at $45.00. Source: Primary Verifier 1.
    • PV2/PV3 verification copies are missing the limitation page. Otherwise identical.
