    • Variety Novels Magazine was a general fiction pulp. Only fiction with a speculative content is listed. There was only one issue ever published. It later became 12 Story Adventure and only lasted five more issues.
    • "The Miracle Murders" is a story involving invisibility.
    • Also included is fiction by Al H. Martin, Ronald Flagg, Cliff Howe, Chester Brant, and Clint Douglas. Only Martin is a real person, the rest are house names.
    • Cover listed because, clockwise, the third illustration, involving the ship, illustrates "The Miracle Murders".
